So I ran across this article from Drudgereport.com and really couldn't believe what I read. Basically, this po-dunk town in Pennsylvania made a law saying that if you hired an illegal immigrant or rented a property to them, you would be fined. Sounds logical enough to me, you are aiding someone who is committing a crime by merely being here in the United States. I always though aiding a fugitive was against the law, but what do I know? Anyway, a federal judge has ruled that the City can't enforce that ordinance because it violates federal law. So, its ok to aid a fugitive? So next time a bank robber asks you for a ride after robbing a bank you can say yes? Give me a break, this judge is ridiculous. There is no reason to not have a law like this town tried to implement, it would slow the influx of illegal immigrants and provide penalties who are keeping them here by providing jobs for them. Don't get me wrong...I love the hispanic people and lived for two years in South America and absolutely love their culture. I just want people to come in through the front door and not sneak in through the back. Here's the article.

The Pursuit of Happyness
Janell and I watched The Pursuit of Happyness probably a month or so ago and really enjoyed it. This article talks about the guy who lived that experience. I found the article really interesting. Here's the link from Yahoo!

Cas Haley
I am almost ashamed to admit it, but Janell and I have been watching America's Got Talent as of late. The show isn't really that bad, there's some pretty interesting stuff in it. The real standout is this dude named Cas Haley. He is phenomenal and has huge potential. I'd love to be able to play the guitar and sing like this guy does. I've posted a video of his audition below. He is from the group Woodbelly, so you can go to www.myspace.com/woodbelly to listen to more of his stuff or search on youtube for Woodbelly. Thought everyone might be interested in this.

My Political Quiz
So I took this cool political quiz online. Its only like 6 questions, so I don't know that its completely comprehensive, but I turned out to be a Libertarian! Mercy. This whole time I thought I was leaning more to the right than anything. To be honest I don't know all that much about Libertarians, but I think I need to read into them a bit more. Here's the link to take the quiz if you're interested:
http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz.html
Here are my results:
ACCORDING TO YOUR ANSWERS,
The political group that
agrees with you most is...
LIBERTARIAN
LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty in both personal and
economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one
that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.
Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose
government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate
diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.
The RED DOT on the Chart shows where you fit on the political map.
Your PERSONAL issues Score is 60%.
Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 80%.
(Please note: Scores falling on the Centrist border are counted as Centrist.)
Everybody should take it and let me know how they end up!
